Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort Marks Major Renovation Celebrating 15th Anniversary, Reinforcing Market Leadership and Introducing New Dimensions to Hua Hin Retreats
In a significant milestone, the Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort, a luxury beachfront hotel, has undergone a major transformation in celebration of its 15th anniversary. Under the theme “The Next Chapter of The Legend, Where Nostalgia Meets Seaside Elegance,” the resort unveiled revamped beachfront rooms and upgraded amenities including lobby, fitness center, kids club, swimming pool, and beachfront area, along with over 9 dining options offering exquisite cuisine. This rejuvenation aims to provide travelers with an enhanced and immersive experience while capturing the essence of Hua Hin’s beauty from the 1920s.
The renovation covers the entire beachfront area, starting from an elevated lobby featuring expanded space and a glasshouse for family board game corners to private check-in rooms. All 119 rooms and suites have been refurbished to enhance guest comfort while preserving the nostalgic décor of the 1920s, complete with 55-inch smart TVs, Harman Kardon sound systems, premium bedding, and the introduction of new suite types, including one-bedroom suites with private pools.
Guests will also enjoy a new breakfast experience featuring a “hawker station” mimicking the vibrant atmosphere of local markets, offering a wide range of Thai and international dishes. The resort’s dining venues, including Pirom, Azure, and Chay Had, offer diverse culinary experiences amidst elegant settings, complemented by Coco Bar’s beachside ambiance.
Moreover, the resort has revamped its pool area, adding private cabanas and expanding the sunbathing area along the private beach modelled after the resort’s iconic pool, which was awarded the Top 10 Hotel Pools Thailand by Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2023. The water sports center now offers stand-up paddleboards and canoes, while a packed schedule of activities, including yoga, muay thai, and cooking classes, caters to all guests’ preferences.
Notably, the highlight of this renovation is the introduction of the “Intercontinental Hua Hin Express,” a small red train providing shuttle services within the hotel area, reminiscent of the golden age of railway tourism in the 1920s when Hua Hin became a vibrant destination. Oliver Horn, General Manager of Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort, expressed excitement about welcoming guests back to the resort’s beachfront and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations by blending modern comfort with the timeless charm of Hua Hin.
