In a concerted effort to find a lasting resolution to the perennial flooding predicament plaguing the Bang Saphan Noi market area, Mr. Pramuan Phongthawaradet, Democrat Party District Member 3, took charge alongside key local figures. The team included Mr. Adisak Noisuwan, Acting Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan, Mr. Suthin Prasertsak of Bang Saphan Noi Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and Mr. Chitchai Jiwatuwinan, Mayor of Bang Saphan Noi Subdistrict Municipality.
The delegation, comprising the Director of Bang Saphan Road Division, a Member of Bang Saphan Noi Subdistrict Municipality, and representatives from related agencies, visited the Bang Saphan Noi market area with a singular goal – to identify a sustainable solution to the persisting flood problem.
The urgency of their mission became even more evident as, at noon, water infiltrated the homes of Bang Saphan Subdistrict Municipality residents, reaching a height of approximately 30-50 cm. This unfortunate event impacted around 120 families, prompting swift action from officials. Elderly community members were relocated to safer areas, and preparations were made with the strategic placement of sandbags to mitigate water damage. Meanwhile, the rainfall persisted, with the area under a continuous deluge, as dark rain clouds blanketed the sky.
This collaborative effort highlights the commitment of political and civic leaders to address the immediate concerns of the affected community. As discussions unfold, the emphasis is not only on short-term relief but on sustainable infrastructure development to fortify Bang Saphan Noi against future flooding challenges. The community can now look forward to a united front, working towards safeguarding their homes from the unpredictable forces of nature.
