In a noteworthy assembly of the Tourism Business Association on October 25, 2023, the Mayor of Hua Hin assigned a significant responsibility to Ms. Busaba Choksuchat, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin. Ms. Choksuchat was delegated to represent the city at the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association meeting for the month of October 2023, which featured a special lecture on the memorandum of understanding (MOU) concerning cooperation between Hua Hin Municipality and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The meeting, held at the Hua Hin Grand Anz Plaza Hotel’s conference room, gathered key figures from the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association, the Hua Hin Cultural Council, stakeholders in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province’s tourism sector, and the Hua Hin-Cha-am Chef Club. Their shared objective was to outline plans for the Hua Hin Food Festival in the fiscal year 2024.
Mrs. Wasana Srikanchana, President of the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association, presided over the meeting, which was attended by government agency representatives and private sector stakeholders. The event brought together esteemed guests and a diverse group of attendees to discuss pivotal matters in the tourism and hospitality industry.
During this gathering, distinguished speakers offered valuable insights. Mr. Chamnan Srisawat, Chairman of the Tourism Industry Council of Thailand, commenced the proceedings with an opening speech. He emphasized the importance of unity within the Thai tourism sector. Subsequently, Mr. Achawan Kongkanan, Director of TAT Prachuap Khiri Khan Office, presented his vision for the operation of the tourism market in the year 2024. His focus was on the creation of a new tourism ecosystem for Prachuap Khiri Khan. This ecosystem, he stressed, would be built on collaboration among government, private, and community partners, with the ultimate goal of establishing Prachuap Khiri Khan as a sustainable tourism city.
Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin City, Ms. Choksuchat, also took the opportunity to mention the forthcoming collaboration between Hua Hin Municipality and the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association. This partnership, scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023, aims to drive business development and enhance the future of tourism in Hua Hin. The event marked a promising step forward in the concerted efforts to strengthen and promote the tourism industry in this picturesque region.
