In a solemn gathering, the Mayor of Hua Hin, Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, joined by the Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin, Hua Hin City Council Members, Municipal Permanent Secretary, Deputy Municipal Permanent Secretary, Heads of government agencies, and municipal employees, came together to pay their respects and commemorate the anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn. The ceremony, known as Chulalongkorn Day 2023, took place at the multi-purpose dome of Hua Hin School. The proceedings were overseen by General Krit Puangwalaisin, Hua Hin District Chief, who presided over the event.
In the morning’s activities, Mr. Jeerawat Pramanee, Permanent Secretary of the Municipality, and Sergeant Aeklikit, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Municipality, along with government agency leaders and affiliated employees, took part in a noble cause. They engaged in royal volunteer activities aimed at enhancing and beautifying the landscape at Hua Hin Railway Station. General Krit Puangwalaisin continued his role as the overseer, leading the volunteers in a pledge to carry out good deeds with heartfelt dedication. Various agencies, as well as dedicated volunteers, participated in these activities.
These ceremonies and volunteer efforts were organized with a deep sense of gratitude and remembrance for His Majesty the King, who made significant contributions to the nation. His dedication to the country’s development and reform across all aspects of governance has brought about prosperity, placing Thailand on par with other advanced nations.
Meanwhile, Mr. Atichat Chaisri, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin, was assigned the task of representing the city, alongside government agency leaders and municipal officials from Hua Hin Municipality. Together, they participated in the Royal Worship Ceremony, offering a tray of fresh flowers at the Royal Monument of King Chulalongkorn. This meaningful event occurred on Chulalongkorn Day, October 23, 2023, at Rajabhakti Park in Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Khomkrit Charoenpattanasombat, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and attended by Major General Somporn Donsingha, Commandant of the Royal Thai Army Cadet Academy and Chairman of the Rajabhakti Park Executive Committee.
During the ceremony, various government agencies, military personnel, and representatives from the private sector came together to honor His Majesty King Chulalongkorn’s extraordinary contributions and royal duties. His enduring legacy as a beloved and capable leader, bearing the royal title “Phra Piya Maharat,” which translates to “The King who is most beloved by the people,” continues to inspire reverence and respect among the Thai populace.
