In a heartwarming display of unity and support, U-Tapao International Airport in Rayong Province witnessed a significant gathering of families, government officials, and members of the media on October 15, 2023. This congregation was convened to extend a warm welcome to a group of Thai workers who had returned from Israel for the third time. The contingent consisted of 90 individuals, comprising 88 males and 2 females, who were the beneficiaries of a carefully coordinated evacuation effort.
The airlift, orchestrated in conjunction with Fly Dubai Airlines, commenced with their departure from Israel on October 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Subsequently, the travelers embarked on a layover in Dubai before resuming their journey. The plane took off from Dubai at 8:00 p.m. and touched down in Thailand at U-Tapao International Airport the following morning, approximately at 5:30 a.m.
Upon arrival at U-Tapao Airport, government officials conducted meticulous baggage inspections and furnished the returning Thai nationals with comprehensive explanations of the requisite travel procedures. These measures were put in place to ensure the safe and secure homecoming of the 88 Thai passengers. Following these initial procedures, the travelers were ushered onto three waiting buses that had been thoughtfully prepared to transport them from U-Tapao Airport to the SC Park Hotel in Bangkok. This departure from U-Tapao Airport took place at around 7:00 a.m., while some travelers were reunited with their eagerly awaiting relatives who had come to collect them at the airport, prepared to accompany them on the final leg of their journey to their respective hometowns.
This entire operation bears witness to the Thai government’s deep commitment to the welfare and safety of its citizens. It underscores the government’s unwavering dedication to ensuring the well-being of its people, as it has worked diligently in close coordination with various agencies to provide all the necessary assistance, facilitating the swift and secure return of these Thai nationals to the comfort of their homes.
