On September 21, 2023, Colonel Krit Pongwalyasin, the Head of Hua Hin District, spearheaded a voluntary community development initiative in Khao Noi. This altruistic endeavor, known as the “Doing Good Deeds with Heart” project, aimed to engage the community in enhancing their surroundings. Joining Colonel Pongwalyasin were Jirawat Phramanee, the Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Kittichai Srithongchua, the Deputy Head of Hua Hin District, and Prapans Kanphrapha, the Director of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center for District 4 in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Yuwunis Sornsilp, the Director of the Satellite Educational Television Station, along with municipal staff and representatives from various organizations, joined the community volunteers at the Khao Noi community hall. Together, they undertook tasks such as landscaping, tree trimming, and waste collection within the community vicinity. Additionally, efforts were directed towards addressing vegetation overgrowth, particularly water hyacinths, along the royal canal. These endeavors aimed to enhance drainage efficiency, especially with the approaching rainy season, ultimately benefitting the residents residing along the canal.
