5-Year-Old Boy’s Heartbreaking Abuse: Broken Leg and Stolen Innocence

In a deeply distressing incident that has shocked the local community, a 5-year-old boy has fallen victim to abuse inflicted by his caretaker, leaving him with a broken leg and unable to attend school. The shocking revelation came to light on August 14th, when news outlets received reports about the harrowing ordeal that the young child has endured for nearly a year.

The incident unfolded in a modest single-story cement house situated in Ban Bon Noi, Chiang Yuen Sub-district, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. The family residing in the house consists of six members, earning a livelihood through various daily-wage jobs. The household’s patriarch, Mr. Lamduan Kamchangphin, aged 56, is also the grandfather of the traumatized child, who goes by the nickname “Cream.”

Cream, who is 5 years old and currently studying in the first grade at a local village school, has been subjected to unthinkable abuse, rendering his left leg severely broken and preventing him from walking. The details of the injury were grim: a bone protruding from his knee, covered only by a thin layer of flesh, and his leg distorted from its natural shape. Moreover, there were signs of injury to his chest, possibly indicating puncture wounds or incisions.

The child’s face wore a blank expression, and he remained silent, refraining from engaging with strangers. According to Mr. Lamduan, Cream’s condition had deteriorated over time, with the abuse taking place while he lived with his biological mother and her partner named Fang in 2025. Cream’s parents had left him with Fang while they worked in Bangkok. It was Fang and Cream’s mother who subjected him to the abuse, causing his physical and psychological suffering.

In an emotional account, Mr. Lamduan expressed his profound sympathy for his grandson, stating that he could hardly contain his tears upon witnessing the extent of Cream’s injuries. He questioned how the situation could have escalated to such a degree, rendering his grandson so helpless and immobile. While Lamduan is doing his best to provide care for Cream, his limited resources and access to proper medical treatment have hindered the child’s recovery.

Despite his young age, Cream displayed remarkable resilience. He expressed a desire to go out and play with his peers, to walk and move freely. However, medical advice has cautioned against putting weight on his fractured leg to avoid further damage. Cream is currently unable to attend school, but his family has registered him with a nearby school and endeavors to ensure he receives educational materials at home. In the absence of his parents, Cream’s grandparents have taken up the responsibility of caring for him, illustrating the deep sense of kinship and compassion within the family.

As the story continues to unfold, the community’s hearts go out to Cream and his family. Calls for justice and assistance have echoed through local philanthropic organizations and volunteer groups. Efforts are underway to ensure that Cream receives the necessary medical attention and emotional support he needs to heal and regain his childhood.

As this heartbreaking incident gains attention, it is a somber reminder of the importance of protecting the rights and well-being of children everywhere. The local authorities are now involved, with the province’s social services department being made aware of the situation. In the face of adversity, the community is rallying together to provide a glimmer of hope and the possibility of a brighter future for young Cream.
