On August 1, 2023, a significant event took place at the Tourism Authority of Thailand office in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Mr. Achawan Kongkanan, Director of TAT Prachuap Khiri Khan, led a delegation from the Hua Hin Cha-am Tourism Business Association on a successful journey to Phrae Province.

The purpose of the “Project from the Blue Sea, Prachuap Province to Craft City, Phrae Province” was to foster a strong connection between the two provinces as “Brother Province – Sister Province” in the realm of tourism. The trip focused on showcasing traditions, cultures, ancient sites, local ways of life, traditional clothing, and unique cuisine.
During the trip, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the Ban Thep Museum, a center of wisdom, where they learned about the local ancient cloth komon and explored how these traditional clothes are being transformed into contemporary fashion. The cultural exchange aimed to strengthen mutual understanding and promote future collaboration.

In Phrae Province, the group admired the “Teen Jok Silk Cloth and Mo Hom Cloth” museum, which bears the identity of the region, having existed for centuries. Additionally, they visited ancient temples and explored the rich historical heritage of the area.
The trip also included a visit to Laplae City in Uttaradit Province, where the delegation was warmly received by Mr. Nopparit Sirikosol, Deputy Provincial Governor.
