Municipal Officials Inspect Road Construction for Improved Transportation in Hua Hin

Municipal Officials Conduct On-Site Inspection of Road Construction: On May 31, a team led by Mr. Nopphorn Wuttikul, the Mayor of Hua Hin, and accompanied by Mr. Kitti Feungfu, Deputy Secretary of the Mayor, Mr. Saiyan Meepol, Council Member, and other relevant officials, visited the construction site of a reinforced concrete road (CRC) project. The purpose of the visit was to ensure the quality and progress of the construction, which aimed to improve the transportation infrastructure in Hua Hin.

The road, with a thickness of 0.15 meters, a width of approximately 6 meters, and a length of 738.00 meters, was built with reinforced concrete to enhance durability and withstand heavy traffic. Additionally, a comprehensive drainage system was implemented to effectively manage water runoff during rainfall. The construction site was located at the intersection of Sukhothai Soi Hua Hin 102 and Nong Gae Road, an area known for its high traffic volume.

Upon inspection, the municipal officials examined every aspect of the road construction, including the quality of the materials used, the alignment of the road, and the functionality of the drainage system. Their goal was to ensure that the completed road met the necessary standards and would provide a safe and convenient transportation route for both residents and tourists.

During the visit, Mayor Nopphorn Wuttikul emphasized the importance of road safety and urged the public, especially parents and caregivers, to remain vigilant, particularly regarding the safety of young children. With the completion of the road, there is a possibility of increased vehicle speed, and it is crucial for everyone to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent accidents.

In addition to inspecting the completed road construction, the municipal officials also collaborated with the Provincial Administrative Organization of Prachuap Khiri Khan to assess the condition of the surrounding areas. Specifically, they focused on Natachang Village, located along Hua Hin 102 Soi, which had been the subject of complaints due to flooding issues during the rainy season. The officials conducted surveys and collected data to better understand the situation and explore potential solutions to mitigate the impact of flooding on local residents and traffic flow.

As part of the long-term plan to improve the infrastructure, the provincial administration proposed the construction of a new concrete road without pipes, measuring 4 meters in width and approximately 530 meters in length. This project, estimated to cost around 1,500,000 Baht, is expected to be included in the budget plan for fiscal year 2567 and scheduled for implementation between September and October 2566.

The visit and inspection by the municipal officials demonstrated their commitment to enhancing the transportation system in Hua Hin, ensuring the safety and convenience of the public, and addressing the concerns raised by local residents. Through these efforts, the aim is to create a more efficient and sustainable road network that supports the growth and development of the city while prioritizing the well-being of its residents and visitors.
