Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province – On June 1, 2023, Mr. Atichat Chaisri, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin, presided over the opening ceremony of a specialized training course on anti-corruption education. The course aimed to develop primary school students from schools under the Hua Hin Municipality into multiplier speakers. A total of 79 participants, known as Generation 2, were selected to take part in the program.
The esteemed event, held at the Hua Hin Grand Hotel and Plaza, saw the presence of key figures, including Mr. Jeerawat Prahmanee, Vice President of Hua Hin Municipality and Chairman of the STRONG Club, an organization dedicated to promoting sufficiency and combating corruption. Mr. Amorn Pattong, Vice President of the Municipal Council and STRONG Club Coach, joined the gathering alongside Mr. Thanongsak Muangmanee, Mr. Tan Bunsomboonsakul, Pol. Maj. Chaichana Chaiparit, and other STRONG Club Coaches from the Hua Hin Municipality.
The training course, organized by the STRONG Club, aimed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge of the STRONG model, which focuses on self-sufficiency in the fight against corruption. Participants were immersed in learning about various aspects, including the protection of forest resources, marine and coastal resources, and the utilization of surveillance techniques. The curriculum also encompassed the use of clue box technology, as well as principles of personal development to nurture participants as future multiplier speakers in the battle against corruption.
The event garnered significant support from the Hua Hin Municipality’s Education Division, with teachers, students, and related officers attending the opening ceremony. The collaborative effort demonstrated the municipality’s commitment to instilling anti-corruption values from an early age and fostering a generation that actively promotes integrity and transparency.
Through initiatives like this training course, Hua Hin Municipality is actively working towards creating a society that is resilient to corruption and dedicated to building a better future.
