Community Collaboration in Prachuap Khiri Khan Promotes a Drug-Free Lifestyle and Improves Health Park Aesthetic Appeal

On April 20, 2023, a collaborative effort took place in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Thailand, as Mr. Sarawut Limarunrak, the President of the Provincial Administrative Organization, and Mr. Piyachart Haikong, the head of the Offender Rehabilitation Work Group at the Provincial Probation Office, led volunteer probation officers and social service volunteers in a community project aimed at promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

The project, aptly named “TO BE NUMBER ONE, be one without being dependent on drugs,” was focused on enhancing the aesthetic appeal and safety of the health park situated on the east side of the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province Central Stadium along Prachuap Khiri Khan Road in Prachuap municipality.

The railway fence area and the front fence next to the health garden were specifically targeted for cleaning, weeding, mowing grass, and tree decoration. The ultimate goal of these efforts was to create a safer and more pleasant environment for people who frequent the park to exercise.

Mr. Sarawut Limarunrak was enthusiastic about the collaboration and the positive impact it would have on the community. He noted that many people visit the park daily to exercise and expressed satisfaction that the project could improve their experience.

This joint initiative between the Provincial Administrative Organization and the Probation Office was a step towards creating a healthier and safer community, promoting a drug-free lifestyle, and providing a better quality of life for residents. With the Provincial Administrative Organization committed to maintaining the park, it is hoped that people will continue to enjoy the benefits of a clean, weed-free, and aesthetically pleasing environment for their exercise routines.
