In recent years, there has been a growing concern about young people’s sedentary lifestyles and the negative effects they can have on their health. Many organizations have started programs to encourage kids and teens to be more active in order to address this issue. The “Street Soccer Youth Cup 2023,” a football tournament organized by the Market Village Hua Hin in the Thai province of Prachuap Khiri Khan, is one of these projects.
On March 19th, 2023, General Krit Phuangwalyasin, the Head of Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and Mr. Nopporn Wuttikul, the Mayor of Hua Hin, attended the closing ceremony and award presentation for the “Street Soccer Youth Cup 2023” competition. The competition was held at the activity area in front of Market Village Hua Hin from March 15th to March 19th, 2023. Mr. Amontep Auwamampee, the general manager of Market Village Hua Hin, as well as the organizers, parents, and Adidas representatives, were also present.
Market Village Hua Hin established the Street Soccer Youth Cup 2023 to improve young people’s physical and mental health, as well as to encourage them to spend their free time wisely and avoid drugs. There were two age groups: under 7 and under 12, with over 230 athletes from 38 Adidas teams competing on an 8-sided court. The competition offered a cash prize, trophies, and awards totaling over 40,000 baht. Tubsai B took first place in the under-7 category, while Nursery Hua Hin took first place in the under-12 category.
