Many international businesses are considering Thailand as a “talent hub” or “regional headquarters

According to a recent Board of Investment (BOI) report, 2,920 foreign nationals filed for Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visas between November 2022 and February 2023. This is consistent with the government’s Talent Hub plan, which seeks to lure high-potential foreigners to Thailand in order to strengthen the country’s economy and investment.

Europe had 940 LTR visa applications, followed by the United States (517), and China (325). The BOI also approved over 500 projects from foreign nations wanting to create regional offices, totaling more than 13,000 million baht in investment. Japan, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, and France were the first five countries and territories to apply for the program.
