Thailand’s tourism economy has thrived, with the country hosting over 2 million international visitors in January.
Thailand attracted a total of 2.14 million international tourists last month, according to new figures, which is a healthy indication for the country’s economy.
According to reports, the bulk of these visitors came from neighboring countries like as China, Malaysia, and Laos. Thailand’s reputation as a tourism destination, with its distinct culture, stunning beaches, and delectable cuisine, has made it a popular choice for travellers from all over the world.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports was pleased with the figures, adding that they reflect the kingdom’s image as a safe and inviting tourist destination. The agency is currently aiming to better promote Thailand’s tourist business by emphasizing the country’s numerous attractions and strengthening infrastructure.
Tourism contributes significantly to Thailand’s economy, accounting for around 11% of its GDP each year. The rise in overseas immigration is a positive trend, especially as the country recovers from the effects of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has also informed travelers that their safety is a key concern, with strong procedures in place to protect health and security.
