Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has directed appropriate authorities to assist in the expansion of Thailand’s package delivery company.
TTB Analytics statistics, according to Government Spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri, show that the parcel delivery company has developed quickly over the last five years, with a market value of roughly 46 billion baht from 2018 to 2019. This statistic has been increasing at a 15% annual rate due to the developing e-commerce business and greater technology use in people’s daily lives.
The COVID-19 epidemic boosted parcel delivery growth, with online transactions increasing from 2020 to 2021.
As a result, the market value of the parcel delivery company increased by 30% over this time period, reaching around 70 billion baht. This pattern continued in 2022, as the pandemic situation improved and economic activity resumed, with purchasers getting more acclimated to purchasing products online. In 2022, the parcel delivery business was valued at 96 billion baht.
According to TTB Analytics, the market value of the parcel delivery company will reach 115 billion baht in 2023, an 18% rise equating to an 11% increase in the e-commerce market.
