STEM Learning Caravan Launched at Science Museum

The National Scientific Museum of Thailand (NSM) has started a science caravan to pique the interest of ASEAN school students in science and technology.

On February 14, students from Lyc?e de Vientiane and adjacent schools engaged in numerous scientific promotion events, which kicked off the caravan. A 3D celestial film in a mobile planetarium, scientific experiments, and science and interactive games are among the highlights of the event.

A research display has been included to the trip to pique students’ interest in science, according to Danuch Tanterdtid, Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. The caravan will continue on to southern Laos, Cambodia, and other ASEAN countries.

The exhibitions, according to NSM Director Prof Rawin Raviwongse, aim to make science more engaging and relevant to young people’s daily life, as well as to show that “science is truly entertaining” and a tool for tackling everyday issues.

Following the successful launch of the Science Caravan in Laos, Pimpa Udthajak, the Institute’s Director of Scientific Research and Innovation, expressed eagerness for ongoing scientific cooperation with Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation.
