Phuket and Krabi were included in a new Czech film titled “Ostrov” (The Island), which opened in Prague on February 1, 2023.
According to the Thailand Tourism Authority (TAT), the video highlights the country’s “Visit Thailand Year 2023: Amazing New Chapters” campaign and its experience-based tourism. Numerous media people, actors, artists, and cultural leaders, including the Thai ambassador to the Czech Republic, attended the premiere.
Ostrov, which debuted in 180 theaters in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, was directed and written by Rudolf Havl?k and starred Ji? Langmajer and Jana Plodkov?
The film is an adventure comedy about two people whose vacation takes an unexpected turn when they wind themselves on an uninhabited island. The majority of the film was shot in Phuket and Krabi, making it the first Czech film to be nearly fully shot in Thailand.
Jana Plodkov? praised her experience in Thailand, stating that she was mesmerized by the country’s people, culture, and natural beauty. Ji?? Langmajer also uploaded photos and videos of his adventures in Thailand on his Instagram account, which has over 200,000 followers, therefore increasing the country’s exposure as a vacation destination.
