A Negative Covid Test Is Mandatory for Thai Tourists Visiting India

Thai visitors entering India will need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test starting on January 1.

Mansukh Mandaviya, India’s minister of health, said this action was taken because of the changing global scenario with COVID-19, in particular in some nations. Within 72 hours after entering India, you must finish the exam and submit your results through the government’s Air Suvidha website.

Mandaviya said that the new COVID test requirement will be in addition to the random tests that are now done on 2% of all overseas travellers landing in India.

After Beijing’s “zero-COVID” standards were relaxed, the United States, Japan, Italy, and Taiwan all began mandating COVID testing of Chinese visitors.

Health ministers from across the European Union met on Thursday (Dec. 29) to discuss how best to respond to the recent outbreak of infectious diseases in China caused by the country’s decision to end its “Zero-Covid” policy.
