Mr. Bundit Chubuathong President of the Administrative Organization of Agriculture accompanied by the officials of Bang Saphan Noi, the representative of Chaiyarat village and many local people joined the opening ceremony of Durian Festival.
The president of the organization said that the Chaiyarat area has ideal land for durian cultivation. Especially in the Tanaosri mountain range which has been promoted by the Bang Saphan Noi District Agriculture Office to produce quality durian and jointly intended to contribute to the production of safe durian products for producers and consumers to meet the GAP standards that ensure the quality of production.
Therefore, in order for the concerned parties to get to know each other, an event titled “Tanao Sri Khiri Khan Durian @Yayarat” is organized from June 23 to 25, 2022 at Petchkasem Road, near Chaiyarat Administrative Organization, to enable the farmers to promote the large durian fruits of Chaiyarat into quality products that will be sold directly to those who wish to eat delicious premium durian.
Mr. Nawarat Wongpunpetch Chief of Bang Saphan Noi District said that Bang Saphan Noi District has a total durian plantation area of 1,989 rai, 336 farmers work in these plantations which have an average yield of 1,200 kg per rai per year. The most cultivated area is the Chaiyarat sub-district. Farmers there have grouped together to produce quality durian that meets GAP standards, so durian is now a high income crop for these farmers. Therefore this public relations event for Tanao Sri Khiri Khan Durian @Yayarat was organized to introduce the products to the consumers and encourage the farmers to develop the industry and sell directly to the consumers who can then be retained to buy online.
