Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden signed an MOU with the Cuban Botanical Garden and the University of Havana to exchange tree seeds and conservation of plant species for further research.
It was reported that Mr. Kampol Tansajja, President of Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, along with Mr. Carlos Manuel Perez Cuevas Director, Jardin Botanico Nacional and Dr. Miriam Nicado García, Rector of the University of Havana signed an MOU to cooperate.
Mr Kamphon Tansajja said that for the signing of this cooperation, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden and Cuban Jardin Botanico Nacional exchange knowledge on rare plant seeds. This is the mission of the Environmental Education and Recreation Program, providing visitors with environmental education and participation in scientific research and plant conservation. Both parties share a common goal of establishing botanical gardens, including fungi and teaching about botanical gardens at the university level, and collecting plants for research and conservation.
In addition, the collaboration utilizes available resources and facilities to conduct research and development on various plant species. Jardin Botanico Nacional of Cuba will send a delegation to visit the Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden in the future to exchange views on tourism and plant protection.
