From May 15, foreigners travel to Vietnam, no need to show COVID test results or vaccination evidence

On May 15, 2022, news reports from Thai Vietjet Airways revealed that tourists traveling to Vietnam can enter the country without showing any COVID-19 test results or vaccination evidence. This makes Vietnam the first country fully accept foreign tourists in the Asia-Pacific region. It is expected to attract tourists and business travelers to Vietnam again soon.

Thai Vietjet is the airline that operates the most flights between Thailand and Vietnam. Currently, it runs up to 10 flights per week between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Ho Chi Minh and 7 flights per week between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Hanoi.

In addition, tourists from Bangkok can travel to Da Nang. which is the center of tourism in Vietnam with Vietjet direct flights, which operates 3 flights per week

Meanwhile, Vietjet also operates domestic flights, which have Vietnam’s largest and most comprehensive route network. It offers direct flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang to many popular destinations such as Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hue, Halong Bay, Can Tho, Quang Bin, and Quy Nhon, among others.

At the same time, tourists can travel via Vietjet international flights to various destinations throughout Asia, such as Seoul, Taipei, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, New Delhi, Mumbai, Singapore, Bali and Kuala Lumpur, among others.

Besides accepting foreign tourists from March 15, 2022, Vietnam is hosting the Southeast Asian Games 2022, or the 31st SEA Games, in Hanoi from 12-23. May 2022, the country is expected to attract more than 10,000 attendees from 11 countries.
