Heavy flooding has hit Hua Hin and surrounding districts since early morning, causing authorities to issue warnings and direct traffic.
Hua Hin District Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, since early morning Hua Hin has received rained continuously for several hours. As a result, many roads in the municipality of Hua Hin, such as Khong Prachan Road. Damnoen Kasem Road Naeb Kehas Road, Pool Suk Road, are flooded, especially Petchkasem Road, the main road in front of Chatchai Market. The water flooded the surface of the traffic while in front of Market Village Hua Hin shopping center until reaching Nong Kae Interchange Road There was flood water, cars were forced to slow. Wisit Chanachai Superintendent of Hua Hin Police Station has brought out the traffic police to help people during the floods, however it has since subsided and returned to normal.
Meanwhile, General Krit Phuangvalaisin, Hua Hin District Chief Has ordered Hua Hin District Deputy, Kamnan, village headmen to inspect flood conditions in Thap Tai Subdistrict, Hin Lek Fai Subdistrict, Nong Phlap Subdistrict and Huai Sat Yai Subdistrict. If flood damage is found, reports will be made and help will be made possible.
The Meteorological Department weather has forecasted for the next 24 hours a high pressure area or cold air masses from China which have spread to cover the northeastern part of Thailand and the South China Sea. This has resulted in the east wind and southeast wind blowing moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand to cover the lower North Northeastern, Eastern, Central, including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the South, causing thunderstorms and gusty winds in the above areas with some heavy rain in the upper South. People should beware of the danger of thunderstorms and strong winds by avoiding staying in the open air, under big trees or near unstable billboards as well.
