Campaign activities will be held throughout the province under the name “14 February, Holding Hands, Holding Hands, Holding Hands of Seniors to Get Vaccinated”, focusing on the target risk group, the elderly 60 years and older of approximately 10,000 people. Vaccine services will be set up in hospitals at the service points, outside the hospital, and also home services for bedridden patients.
As the infection rate in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province is increasing by an average of 100 new cases daily while the first-dose vaccination rate found in the elderly group is still 70%, the target of 80% has been set to be accomplished on February 14, 2022, to limit their health risks.
In addition to vaccination campaigns, many health-safety measures have been imposed to secure the regular lifestyle of every individual in the city. For example, kids now are alternating school days to reduce congestion in the classroom. ATK testing is randomly asked of teachers, students, and school personnel every week. Furthermore, drinking outside households is not permitted from 9 pm to 6 am of the next day. Working from home policy is still imposed on the staff of both the public and private sectors.
In Hua Hin District, as of February 9 data report, the first-dose and the second-dose vaccination rates are above 80%: 91.03% or 115,525 recipients and 87.44% or 110,972 recipients, respectively. However, the third-dose vaccination rate is still catching up, 28.88% or 36,647 recipients.
