Yesterday afternoon, police in Hua Hin have arrested four men involved in an enormous national lottery fraud. The criminal organization was known as “Lotto Cheese Hua Hin.” Thanayut Wutthijarathamrong, Commander-in-Chief of Provincial Police Region 7, made the announcement.
On January 30 at Hua Hin Police Station, several high-rank officers offered a press conference. The fraud was described in the press conference to have defrauded people in Hua Hin of around 24 million THB but extends nationwide and amounts to 130 million THB.
The four men, aged 34 to 24, have been remanded in custody charged for “massive fraud,” with bail denied. Mr. Panupong Chumpari, 24 years old and the owner of the government lottery shop “Lotto Cheese Hua Hin.” Mr. Bundit Fuengfu, 23, Anusorn Chumpari, 29, and Anucha Thungkham, 33.
