NCC Management and Development Ltd is labelling the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre or QSNCC as “the ultimate platform to inspire world-class events for all”. The revamped Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre includes a new ‘BALM’ mall developed under the concept of ‘Bangkok Vibrant Lifestyle Mall’ to attract and serve health and fitness enthusiasts, urban workers and families, with more than 100 leading retail brands, restaurants and facilities.
The new QSNCC is known for its location and value proposition to meet the needs of active city dwellers. Also, the shopping mall is easily accessible via the MRT link to QSNCC. It is also surrounded by Benjakitti Forest Park at 450 Rai, a new green lung for sports lovers in Bangkok.
Mr. Sakchai Pattarapreechakul, Managing Director of NCC, Management and Development, said: “With our full-service capabilities for all types of events, QSNCC will be the new event platform destination in Asia.” The redeveloped QSNCC is expected to reopen in September 2022. When open, it will attract more than 13 million visitors a year. To provide more services to tourists, we plan to expand the retail space by 30%.
The retail development team at Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, led by Mrs Thiranant Kornsritipa, will draw on the company’s expertise and experience in retail projects in Samyan Mitrtown and Silom Edge to attract the public to QSNCC Retail, which is being developed and leased by NCC space.
The project has attracted a significant number of applications for tenancy from major retailers. We are currently in the middle of the selection process with potential tenants who are leading restaurants and retailers. “We have agreements in place for 20% of the retail space and expect to increase the leased space to 40% by the first quarter of this year”.
