The Wizarding World is celebrating with the first official photo of what will be the special of the 20th anniversary of the first film of one of the most successful and profitable film sagas of all time: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. HBO has shared in its official accounts an image in which we can appreciate the exceptional feeling of the main actors in what seems to be a set that recreates the Gryffindor house. This is just a few days after releasing the first teaser trailer for the long-awaited special.
Fans cannot hide their enthusiasm for the reunion of the original cast made of Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Grainger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Wesley). Remember that the first teaser trailer already confirmed the participation of several other actors, directors, and composers, including names such as Gary Oldman, Helena Bonham Carter, Ian Hart, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaac, and many more.
HBO Max will premiere the special on January 1, 2022. It will give a magical year begging for the millions of fans of the saga around the world while accompanied by those who made this fantastic world possible. However, there is one person who, despite her importance, seems not to have a relevant role in this project, the writer J.K Rowling. Although the reason for her absence in this special is not clear, it is apparently because of her controversial statements about transgender people in mid-2020.
HBO MAX is a streaming platform made of the content of Cartoon Network, DC Universe, Warner, original productions, and many more. It is now available in the USA, Latin America, and some Europe Countries. It is planning to expand its service to the rest of Europe and Asia in 2022.
